About Me
My name is Nishant Narayanan
I am Nishant Narayanan, a lifelong learner committed to empowering people and communities through education, awareness, and service.
My passion for addressing the critical lack of awareness, access, and patient care for fibromyalgia stems from witnessing the struggles of my grandma, who has rheumatoid arthritis. This targeted project aims to drive essential research and secure increased medical resources for a cause often severely overlooked by the medical field. I leverage a strong technical background, including proficiency in Java, Python, and OpenAI Products , to develop innovative health solutions; notably, I am the inventor of the patent-pending wearable Anytime Vitals Anywhere for remote patient monitoring, and I led the development of the AI-powered CaxyGPT used by over 400 students.
Through rigorous, interview-focused research, I am actively working to fill the current gaps in understanding the direct effects of fibromyalgia on sleep, stress, and physician activity.

1 / USPTO Patent: Algaerama
Inventor on the patent for Algaerama, an easy-to-use, scalable system capable of autonomously detecting and mitigating harmful algal blooms using a trained deep learning model.
2 / USPTO Patent Pending: Anytime Vitals Anywhere
A wearable device that monitors patient vitals remotely via a mobile app, immediately notifying the care team (doctors, nurses, and family) if any vital is out of range.
3 / National STEM Finalist
Selected as a finalist for a research project that had real world impact.
4 /Top 10 Research at AAPI Medical Symposium
Won top research award at medical symposium for protecting public health through proactive measures.

Brandenburg Lake: Balancing an Ecosystem A Decade Later
Treated a lake through enzyme inoculation, chemical applications, and eradication science assisting 84000 annual visitors, homeowner residents, and rebalancing the aquatic ecosystem. Wrote a research paper detailing the entire ten year timeline and processes.
Exploring the Relationship Between Sleep, Stress, and Physical Functioning in Individuals with Fibromyalgia: A Patient-Reported Survey Study
Conducted a self-made survey interviewing 50+ patients on their experiences of sleep and stress correlated to the severity of pain from fibromyalgia that they face.
Exmoor Country Club Highland Park, IL: Addressing Heavy Metals
Treated a lake at a country club that hosts major golf tournaments filled with an overabundance of iron from deteriorating pumps as well as infestations of mosquito larvae. Wrote a research paper detailing the entire process.
A “Tail” of Eight Lakes: a Connected Waterway
Treated a privately-owned lake with fountain science, submicron lining, and pH buffers along with addressing electrical problems that put the entire aquatic ecosystem at risk. Wrote a research paper detailing the 2 year process.
